Landing page optimization is an Internet marketing process which is also known as Webpage optimization with the aim of enhancing a visitor’s awareness of a website. This specialized webpage are directed to the visitor once they’ve clicked on a link, usually from an outside source such as a Pay per Click. The page usually focuses on a particular product or service with the aim to provide page content and appearance that makes the webpage more appealing to target audiences.
There are three main types of landing page optimization based on targeting
Associative content targeting:
The page content is modified based on information derived about the visitor’s search criteria, geographic information of source traffic, or other known generic parameters that can be used for explicit non-research-based consumer segmentation.
Predictive content targeting
The page content is accommodating by correlating any known information about the visitor for example (prior purchase behavior, personal demographic information, browsing patterns, etc.) to assume desired future actions based on predictive analytics.
Consumer directed targeting
The page content is developed using the relevance of publicly available information through a mechanism based on reviews, ratings, tagging referrals, etc.
